Getting away with... buying books (?)

I refused to go shopping but not out of laziness. I wanted the milk or the bread to run out. Or both...
In fact, I've done this, because I was waiting for a book order but this time, I didn't have it delivered to my doorstep. I ordered it to the box at the nearest petrol station - they essentially have milk and some kind of bread.
Buying 2 new Freida McFadden books after finishing my 2 new Freida McFadden books I've bought just last week is absolutely outrageous. I know I'd get the "you're saving on food yet spending on books" line again. So I planned to dodge the bullet this time.
So I woke up, checked the fridge like anyone's watching, and like a good little servant, I went to get some milk and bread from the petrol station nearby.
It was such a sunny day with the grass glistening under the feet. Hidden under my coat I was still wearing my pyjama top to make sure that I'm rushing heading out before anyone's awake.
Small act of rebellion like this makes me feel alive. First things first I located the box. It took me a while to understand how it works. It seems like it works differently by country or company. A smiley old man wished me good morning at the counter and that mixed with the taste of success made my whole sunny morning very positive, happy and pleasant.
Leaving the petrol station I took a deep breath and felt a sweet little warmth in the air. I've got the books, and no one knows about them but me.
